Abstract

In this study, some macro and micro element concentrations were determined in 2009, in water and sediment of Gürleyik Stream Source.
All elements analysis were determined by using ICP-OES. Aluminum, calcium, iron, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, zinc,
silver, boron, cadmium, lead, chromium, copper, manganese, nickel, and selenium levels of water and sediment were investigated. The data
obtained were compared with some national and international quality criterias. As a result of the research, zinc, iron, silver, aluminum and
cadmium were not found in water and; silver and cadmium were not found in sediment. According to Inland Water Resources Criteria, the
region has 1. and 2. water quality in terms of the investigated inorganic pollution parameters. According to sediment quality criteria, the levels
of all the examined elements were significantly lower than the limit values of "threshold effect level (TEL)", "lowest effect level (LEL)" and
"minimal effect threshold (MET)".
