Abstract

Renin-angiotensinsystem (RAS) plays a role in thepathogenesis of coronaryarterydisease (CAD) and it is an importantregulator
of vascularfunction. Interactionsbetweengeneticandenvironmentalfactors is important in theformationof amultifactorialdisease
in which CAD. Forthe diagnosisof cardiovascular diseasesand riskgroupingis used many plasmamarker. One of the candidate
marker is angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Inourstudy, peripheralbloodwascollectedfrom 154 patientsincluding 90
coronaryarterydiseaseand 69 healthyindividuals. ACE enzymeleveldeterminatedfromtheseperipheralbloodsamplesbyusing
(ELİSA). Theresultswereevaluatedstatistically.. ACE enzymeactivitywasfoundto be elevated in allpatients. Finally, we can say
thatdetermining of ACE enzymelevels iseffective on thecoronaryarterydisease.
