Abstract

Eublepharis angramainyu was first recorded in Turkey with 1 female specimen from Birecik district, Şanlıurfa province in
2001. Then, 3 specimens (2 female and 1 male) were collected from Çiçekalan village (Birecik, Şanlıurfa), and one specimen
reported from Akkuş village (Harran). Until now, only 4 individuals’ morphological data from the Turkish population have been
published. In this study, 10 specimens from 6 different localities were examined morphologically and the species was recorded
for the first time in Obali village (Akçakale, Şanlıurfa), Keberli village (Eyyübiye, Şanlıurfa), Argıl (Halfeti district), Tektek
Mountains (Center, Şanlıurfa) and Mengelen village (Ceylanpınar, Şanlıurfa). This study provides additional information about
the distribution area and morphology of Leopard Gecko.
