Global warming being mainly one of the vital problems in the earth affects all over the world and indirectly Turkey. Thus, some changes occure
in climates. The changes in climate show themselves in the study area of Usak, too. A semi-arid Mediterranean climate seems to Uşak in which
winters are cold and summers are arid. Therefore, air temperature is the hottest rate and the rainfall is the lowest one in the summers. According to
80 years climate datas, there are rainfall deviations and temperature increases in Uşak. As the reflection of climate change, some changes become
in the amount of rainfall that agricultural plants need and particularly in the course of germination and growing of agricultural crops. Barley, wheat,
sugar beet, poppy, chickpea, tomato, watermelon, various fruits and vegetables are cultivated much more in Uşak. Generally, the crop is obtained
%10-20 more than the average of Turkey. Between 2000 and 2008 years, wheat (Triticum durum L.), barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), oats (Avena
sativa L.), corn (Zea mays L.), tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), poppy (Papaver somniferum L.) and chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) decreases are
observed in the yield. When we consider Physiology and morphology of the plants ,decrease in germination rate, shortening in plant height, early
leaf yellowing, shortening the vegetation period, reduction of grain size and number and weight are observed. Climate change have affected the
yield of agricultural crops all over the Uşak Province.
