This study was based on the field work that was carried out between 1974 and 2011, and the analyses of some abiotic and biotic values. Bats are
of dominant species in caves, and anomalously use of bat guano causes considerable damages in their ecosystem and the spread of some diseases.
It is required that national and international legislation should be taken into account for the protection of the cave ecosystem which forms a notably
important part of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Up to date, majority of 36 bat species recorded from Turkey, one of which is frugivorous
and others insectivorous, live in caves. Occupation and use of caves for various purposes, their abolishment and loose control on them are all that
can be theoretically generalized for causes damaging the ecosystem of caves. Biospeleolgy researching all cave livings naturally subjects also
many invertebrate and vertebrate species adapted to the dimmed light. Abiotic components as well as biotic ones of caves should be considered
during actions in controlling the cave ecosystems on scientific bases. The realization of the sustainability of biodiversity can only be made possible
if the habitat protection is assured. Today, the need has been arisen for researches concerning the assessment of zoogeographical, ecological and
taxonomic characteristics of cave livings.
