Özet

The first trout production facilities was established in Sakarya province in 1970 in Turkey and Sakarya Province has played an active and leading role to the spread of trout production in the country. Sakarya Province is located in the eastern Marmara region and green vegetation,streams and Sapanca Lake has become one of the major sightseeing and resting places of local and foreign tourists in the recent years. Trout farms in the region began to serve not only production but also businesses with dining, recreation and accommodation.There are 25 trout production facility in Sakarya. These facilities have a total of 769 tons / year portion size trout and 3.4 million fry capacity. All of the water resources are used to trout production and all of the fish is also consumed within the borders of Sakarya. Almost all the trout production facilities are selling the fish as baking or retail in Sakarya Province.
