Fethiye Bölgesindeki Alabalık Kuluçkahanelerinin Teknik Özellikleri

Özet

Rainbow trout production beginning in 1980s in Fethiye region has improved and become one of the important production sites in Turkey. In
the region a great amount of trout juvenile and eyed egg is produced. Thus it is important to determine technical aspects and capacity use regarding
the juvenile production. In this study, it was aimed to determine technical aspects and capacity use of trout hatcheries in Fethiye region using data
collected with questionnaire during October and February 2010. The investigation indicated that the hatcheries were more gathered in Çaygözü
Site, Ören even though two big capacity hatcheries are in Söğütlüdere. Considerable improvements in the hatchery applications such as photoperiod
and sex reversion have been made probably as a result of increase of knowledge, the need continuous juvenile and eyed eggs of the sector and
contribution of research bodies. Particularly photoperiod application is well practised in some hatcheries. The registered production capacities in
2009 for juvenile and eyed eggs were 202.879.180 and 137.000.000 respectively. However the production realized in that year was 79.400.000
juvenile and 80.000.000 eyed eggs. Based on the observations, the juvenile and eyed egg production is estimated to increase in 2009-2010. The
present situation indicates that the leadership of the region will continue in trout production.
