Toplumda Böcek Farkındalığı Yaratılmasında BÖFYAP Projelerinin Yeri

Özet

A series of projects, called as ‘The Projects of Raising Awareness of Insects’(BOFYAP), have been realized in order to increase the intellectual level of the society of Turkey by informing them about the insects which form the greatest group among living creatures within the framework of Tubitak Science and Society Project during the years of 2007-2009.These projects, carried out for the primary school students and teachers, have been conducted with the participation of 1369 participants at practical and theoretical levels. In the field work the insects have been observed in their natural habitat and collected. Later on these collected
samples have been studied at macroscobic and microscobic levels. Different activities in which different workshops existed have been realised for groups of 15-20 people. For each group questionaries have been given before and after the case study and then evaluated. In addition, feedbacks taken from the participants have been used in the evaluation of the awareness created by insect study. Public interest has been enhanced regarding the insect life and a certain amount of contribution has been made in the field of enviromental education.
