Özet

The seasonal distribution of raphignathoid mites in Seferihisar (İzmir) county was investigated. During the period of July 2010-June 2011
samples each month were taken from the litter, soil, moss and lichen from the different regions of sampling areas. Samples were labeled and
taken to the laboratory in plastic bags. Additionally, to determine some physical and chemical properties of soil, extra soil samples were taken.
Mites were extracted by modified Berlese funnels. Later, under a stereomicroscope, raphignathoid mites were picked up with neddle and pipettes
and then they were counted. In the sampling area, family of Stigmaeidae was the highest number of individuals (%70) and species.
Raphignathidae (%18), Caligonellidae (%10) and Camerobiidae (%2) followed respectively. The greatest number (%44.6) of raphignathoid mites
were found in spring time. Following seasons were; winter (%35.7), autumn (%16.2) and summer (%3.3). Stigmaeidae was most abundant
(%49,0) in spring, Raphignathidae (%42,2) and Caligonellidae (%50,8) were in winter and Camerobiidae (%50) was in autumn. Relationships
between some ecological parameters that affect seasonal distribution with families and species were reviewed.
