Su Öğelerinin Ekolojik Tasarımında Derinlik Faktörü, Antalya Kenti Örneği

Özet

Water is a universal landscape component and creates life in everywhere. People need water not only for surviving their lives but for some other needs such as transportation and recreation. Water in the landscape was used as still or moving water in history depending on several factors such as culture and climate. Water is a landscape element which comes into prominence with aesthetic and functional characteristics. It is used in design with several functional characteristics such as being focal point, recreation, circulation control, view control, voice control, cooling etc. Otherwise according to most of the people water is the most charming and aesthetics element in green spaces. Water that is one of the most important elements of landscape design is always welcomed. It is used in urban green spaces as an indispensable part of landscapes. In Turkey, where water resources are getting scarce, productive use of water in recreational areas is an important design topic which should be studied. Especially, it is an important issue that the efficient use of water in cities which have hot and humid climate such as Antalya. On the other hand, amount of water use increase depending on factors such as population, economic growth, changes in lifestyles, development of technology etc. In this study, water features which are located in parks in the city center of Antalya are examined, total amount of water use in parallel with depths of water features are determined. At the end of the study, several suggestions are given about water saving.
