Özet

Helicobacter pylori, in approximately 90% of the population especially in developing countries as seen in is one of the most common pathogens.
This pathogen is usually asymptomatic in infected individuals. This is the most common cause of upper gastrointestinal diseases and chronic
inflammation can cause stomach and placed in duodenum. As a result of chronic inflammation duedonum ulcer, gastric ulcer and stomach cancer
may develop. The way of bacterial contamination is stil not clear, but isolation of H.pylori from water distribution systems, waste water systems,
groundwater wells and surface water, rivers was conducted. For this purpose, drinking water distribution systems has been the most investigated
heterotrophic microenvironments. Although drinking water mains is clean in resourcesof it, inthe pipes microbial contamination into drinking
water mains inevitable. In these systems, microorganisms prefer contact with a surface as biofilms to living planktonic. It has been reported that
H.pylori can be quickly form in the biofilm layer using organic carbon compounds in the drinking water network. The pathogen in this biofilm layer
protects almost like a port itself and can maintain life for a long time from effects of disinfectants and external factors. Thus, detection and control
of pathogen is of difficult, the effects of combat strategies are declining. In this study, proliferation of H.pylori in drinking water systems and biofilm
layer with the formation of the biofilm layer due to the increasing antimicrobial resistance and importance of H.pylori in terms of become a threat
in public health and environmentally will be discussed.
