Farklı Su Kaynaklarındaki Mikroflora Üzerine TiO2 Fotokatalizasyonunun Etkisi

Özet

In this assay, in terms of the unique advantages of TiO2such as cheap and steady structure, the ability of its conversion of harmful components to non toxic complexes such as O2, H2O, CO2 and from the point of it could be determined which has possible potential in water treatment systems as an alternative disinfection system. Hence the effect of TiO2 disinfection with exposure UV irradiation was studied. Water samples which were taken from different sources exposured to TiO2with UV-A irradation for 2h. After this treatment, amount of total viable bacterial cells were inhibited with the effect of the TiO2/UV-A as 92% and 85% in waste water and artesian water, respectively. Also, it was evaluated the rates of total inhibited cells exposured with UV-A without TiO2 . According to this study, it was seen that total viable cells were decreased to 47% and 51% in waste water and artesian water, respectively.
