İzmir Orta Körfezi’nden İzole Edilen Biyolüminesen Vibrio İzolatının Poli-Β-Hidroksi Bütirat (PHB) Üretim Verimliliğinin Belirlenmesi

In this study, it was performed that isolation of bioluminescent bacterium from sediment sample obtained from middle bay of Izmir and
determination of its poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) productive efficiency. It was evaluated that growth characteristic and diameter of colony on
thiosulfate citrate bile sucrose agar (TCBS) medium and it is identified as Vibrio sp. During determination of PHB efficiency, it was implemented
that determination of PHB in cell with sudan black B and fluorescent staining, formation of PHB standard graphic, detection of dry cell weight,
calculation of PHB % efficiency. As a result of the study, it is achieved that bioluminescent Vibrio sp. has the highest efficiency of PHB at 42. hour
and yield of PHB is %24.
