Four Wing Salt Bush, Location, Planting Space.Özet
The research was conducted to determine leaf cover area (LCA), % dry matter digestibility (DMD), % dry matter intake (DMI) and
relative feed value (RFV) of four wing salt bush at different locations and planting spaces. The experiments were carried out at the
locations Eskişehir/Hamidiye, Konya/Merkez ve Konya/Karapınar in 2012. Rooted cuttings were used as material. The experiments were
designed according to randomized complete block design with 6 replications and 2 planting space applications (3m and 2m) were tested.
Interaction of location x planting space were significant in terms of DMD, DMI and RFV (p<0.01). The highest DMD value was
obtained from Konya/Center location and 3m application, with 73.2%. Though, the best DMI and RFV results were determined in
Konya/Karapınar, a problematic area of Turkey in terms of erosion and 3m application, with 2.92% and 159.3, respectively.
Interaction with regard to LCA was not significant. While the differences between the locations were not significant, the effect of
planting space was significant (p<0.01). The highest LCA was determined with 2m application (11.5%).According to the results, it was
concluded that this forage shrub can be used for rehabilitation and forage purposes in problematic areas, such as Karapınar.
