Farklı Ekim Sisteminde Yetiştirilen Yonca (Medicago sativa L.) Bitkisinin Bor Alımı Yönünden Değerlendirilmesi

Özet

In this study, clover species Alsancak (Medicago sativa L.) was planted both monoculture, with Flamura-85 wheat (Triticum aestivumL.) and TR 3080 sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) on boron toxic soils to see boron uptake effect of different planting methods. All plants were harvested and determined dry and wet weights of plants, chlorophyll, carotenoid and proline amounts and also, B (boron), Ca(calcium), K (potassium) and P (phosphorus) on the leaves. 25-50-75 mg L-1boric acid (H3BO3) boron was sprayed onto all three tested plants but no chemical application was done to the control group. In all applications of monoculture grown clover plant, % DW (dry matter)rate total chlorophyll and carotenoid amounts generally decreased, compared to the control group. But those parameters above increased at the group where the clover was grown together with wheat and sunflower species mentioned above. % EC (membrane permeability) and
proline rate increased at monoculture planted clover whereas it decreased in the polyculture planted group. When it comes to the clovers’ boron content; at polyculture planted group it decreased compared to monoculture planted group. Ca, K and P contents decreased at monoculture planting compared to the control group. But it increased at polycultural planting with wheat and sunflower compared to the control group. In conclusion, it is found that in the cultivation of clover on boron-contaminated soils, instead of monocropping, the application of policropping method using sunflower and especially wheat can prevent boron toxicity related symptoms by providing decrease in boron uptake of the plant.
