Özet

In this study, the in vitro antimicrobial activity of 44 Streptomycetes isolated from the different soil samples of sumac grown in Ankara and
Adana (Turkey) were investigated. For this purpose, total 12 strains including multiple antibiotic resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus
epidermidis and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia were used. 36% of the isolates showed antimicrobial activity against the test microorganisms. 81%
and 25% of active isolates showed antibacterial activity on the Gram positive test bacteria and Gram negative test bacteria, respectively. 69% of the
isolates showed anticandidal activity. 16 isolates inhibited the growth of S. aureus strains at different rates. It was determined that three of them were
high active on methicilline resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). None of the isolates didn’t show antibacterial activity on multiple antibiotic
resistant S. maltophilia MU64.
