Our country is in terms of species richness of fish in the Mediterranean, more specifically down towards the Gulf of Iskenderun and
Mersin has a great importance. These gulfs in the amount of exotic fish captured has increased in recent years. So far, previous studies
introducing in the Gulf of Iskenderun and Mersin 52 alien fish species belonging to 34 families are reported. But, in the Gulf of Iskenderun
and Mersin, with the aim of determining the alien fish between September 2010 and May 2012 gillnets, purse seine, and trawl boats data
obtained from the Gulf of Iskenderun and Mersin from the year 2012 as the number of alien fish species belonging to 30 families, 43
respectively. Of these; Nemipterus randalli, Pomadasys stridens species are gaining economic importance in fish market.
In recent years, as a result of the effect of global warming on the Mediterranean Sea, the water temperature increased.Tthe Suez Canal
from the Red Sea and the Atlantic through the Strait of Gibraltar, the introduction of alien fish species are constantly Mediterranean
ecosystem. Cyclichthys spilostylus and Champsodon capensis species have entered the Gulf of Iskenderun and Mersin. Introduction of new

reason, the distribution of alien fish species in the Gulf of Iskenderun and Mersin were revised in recent years, and up to date information
about the status of the fish fauna of the recent developments in alien study is aimed to evaluate.
