Türkçe Balık Adları Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Özet

In this study, fish names which take part in vocabulary of Turkey Turkish will be examined. Nouns, both proper nouns and common nouns, in our culture and society are given according to some mentalities and values. This condition is true for fish names too. The fish names in vocabulary of Turkish people who adopt agriculture and animal husbandary as a source of livelihood in according with names of plants and animals is very small. Some of these names were taken from other languages (Greek, İtalian, Latin etc.). However, each of these fish names in our vocabulary is meaningful and beautiful.In this study based on Turkey Turkish, fish names will be discussed in terms of structure, meaning and origin. In addition information on the use of fish names by regions will be given.
