Özet

This study was carried out between September 2006 and Agust 2007, on 6 sites on Ağlasun Stream and Isparta Stream. On the chosen sites water samples
for physico-chemical analyses and benthic macroinvertebrates were obtained monthly. A total of 41 taxa belong to Turbellaria, Gastropoda, Oligochaeta,
Hirudinea, Crustacea and Insecta were determined. In addition, the relationship between the physico-chemical parameters and benthic organisms were
determined. Insecta was found to be the most dominant group among benthic macro invertebrates. Water quality of each site were determined according to
the physical-chemical data and benthic macro invertebrate organisms and compared with each other. The results of this study revealed that three different
levels of water quality were present Ağlasun and Isparta Streams. The water quality results of physical and chemical supports the biological results obtained
by using benthic macro invertebrates in Belgium Biotic Index. The sites on Ağlasun streams were determined at I. and II. classes while the sites on Isparta
stream were highly polluted.
