Özet

The epilithic algae of the Istanbul Stream, Aliağa Stream, Bostancı Stream,and Orta Stream were studied qualitatively and
quantitative. In the study, at Istanbul Stream 22 taxa, at Aliağa Stream 10 taxa, at Bostancı Stream 14 taxa and at Orta Stream 12
taxa were determined. Cocconeis pediculusEhrenb.,Ulnaria ulna (Nitzsch) Compèreand Cymbella affinis Kütz.were the most
abundant species in epilitic composition. At the same time, water temperature ( 9.10 – 14.1 °C), dissolved oxygen (8.2-9.4 mg
l−1), pH (7.1 – 7.5), and conductivity (210.2 – 240.4 μS / cm) were determined.It has been determined that the species in the
springs are cosmopolitan, living in both clean water and high trophic waters.
