Mersin Körfezi’nde Dağılım Gösteren Barbunya Balıklarının (Mullus Sp. Linnaeus, 1758) Bazı Biyolojik Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi

This research, has been carried out to investigating of some biological features of Red mullet (Mullus sp.) distrıbuting in Mersin Bay between November
2004 and April 2005. For that reason, total 297 fish were used. In this population, it was determined that individuals were between I-III age groups and
females were represented with the most in this area. It is found that in red mullet minimum and maksimum total length is 10.5-18.5 cm.; in the examination
of weight minimum and maksimum which are found as 14.42- 86.29 g. Conditions factor were estimated for females and males separately and for total fish
was determined as 1.3195. Von Bertalanffy’s growth parameters in length and weight were; L∞=27.90, k=0.1149, to=-3.4708, W∞=190.12, k= 0.0947, to=-
0.2897, the lenght-weight relation ship was calculated as W= 0.021172*L2.798398.
