Liquid waste of Uşak Leather Industry and other industries, refined and left unrefined, as well as the home waste of villages on the same route
are discharged on DokuzSele stream located in Ulubey canyons, Uşak. This dirty stream is used as irrigation water in the terrains of canyon grounds.
In this study, corn (Zea mays), sunflower (Helianthus annus),bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), manger beet (Beta vulgaris ssp. crassa) cultivated in the
terrains of canyon grounds were used as materials. Samples of water taken from certain stations on the stream route were used as irrigation water
and the effects of this water on the mentioned plants were analyzed in terms of germination and growth.The effects of samples of water on the
germination of seeds and the growth of plants were found to be meaningful (p<0.05), since it caused germination and growth retardation, it was
identified that this kind of water must not be used as irrigation water
