Heavy metals are great importance because of occuring toxic effects in aquatic living and threatening human health by accumulating in the food
chain. In this study, nonenzymatic antioxidant parameters as albumin, bilirubin, hemoglobin, haptoglobulin and transferrin were studied in the
blood tissue of Oreochromis niloticus. Fish were exposed to 0.1, 0.5 ve 1.0 mg/L Cu and 0.1 mg/L Cu+0.3 mg/L EDTA, 0.5 mg/L Cu+1.5 mg/L
EDTA and 1.0 mg/L Cu+3.0 mg/L EDTA mixtures at 7, 14, and 28 days. The levels of bilirubin, albumin, transferrin and hemoglobin increased
while haptoglobin decreased in blood tissue of fish which under the metal effects, at the end of the exposure periods.
