In the present study, some physiological effects of different concentrations (0, 10, 100 ve 1000 mg/L) of β-laktam antibiotic cephalosporin
and macrolid antibiotic clarithromycin were investigated in free-floating macrophyte Lemna minor L. Proline contents in macrophyte treated with
10,100 ve 1000 mg/L cephalosporin concentrations were increased as 4.7%, 27.9% and 23.3%, respectively, with respect to control. Although
proline contents at 10 and 100 mg/L clarithromycin concentrations were increased as 11.6 % and 30.2 %, respectively, the content was decreased
by 1000 mg/L application. Total carbohydrate content was increased in 10 mg/L concentration of both antibiotics, the content, however, at 100 and
1000 mg/L concentrations was decreased. Protein contents were decreased by all cephalosporin concentrations applied. Although protein contents
at 10 and 100 mg/L clarithromycin concentrations were increased, 1000 mg/L application was decreased. According to findings, it can be concluded
that physiological responses of L. minor are changes as depending on antibiotic group and their concentrations.
