Abstract

Pollution by exhaust gasses accounts for 60 percent of all atmospheric pollution. The amount of pollutants emitted by gasoline-fueled vehicles
and diesel-fueled vehicles are varied. Too much harmful gases and materials in particles are emitted by exhausts and most of those are toxic for
organisms. In particulate pollutants there are also some heavy metals, mainly Lead (Pb), Nickel (Ni), Mercury (Hg) and Cadmium (Cd). Lead (Pb),
which accounts for 60 percent of all Heavy Metal Pollution, is exposed from Tetra Ethyl Lead (TEL) which is used to decrease knocking in engine
in vehicles. Cadmium (Cd) is added into atmosphere mostly by diesel fuel and also from burning oil. These heavy metals influence organisms,
especially Lead (Pb) and Nickel (Ni) has toxic effects on plants. Therefore, the main interest in this study is focused on the Lead and Nickel
pollution and effects of this pollution on Plants. In the result part, some precautions are suggested.
