Alerji Problemi Yaşanan Evlerde Hava Kökenli Potansiyel Alerjen Mikrofungus Florası ve Dağılımının İncelenmesi

The aim of this study was the isolation and identification of potentially allergenic airborne fungi in outside and inside of homes of individuals
who have allergic problems. For that purpose, air samples were taken from 4 inside and 1 outside sampling area of the homes of 5 families who
have allergic problems in Izmir. Samples were taken monthly in between February 2008 and May 2008 and Merck Mas 100 Eco was used for air
sampling. The daily sampling time was 10.00 – 14.00 and the sampling period was 1 min. With an airflow rate of 50 L/min. Dichloran Rose–Bengal
Chloramphenicol Agar (Merck 1.00466) was used for isolation. A total of 5452 colonies were counted in 450 petri dishes used and the results were
given as cfu/m3. While 2178 of the colonies isolated belonged to the potentially allergenic genera such as Cladosporium (22 %), Penicillium (12
%), Aspergillus (3 %), Alternaria (2 %), Helminthosporium (1 %), Rhizopus (1 %) and Trichoderma (1 %); the remaining 3274 were determined
as mycelia sterilia, moulds and genera not used in allergy tests. The distributions and the ratios of these fungi were also determined and included
in Turkish Microfungi Flora. In accordance with the results acquired, it was concluded that one of reasons of the allergies could have been the
airborne fungal population of the houses.
